Past the nightly wipe-down.

Fieldstone’s janitorial plans already keep restrooms cleaned and restocked on every visit. Counters get wiped, bins emptied, mirrors polished and the floor mopped. That routine is what makes a restroom usable each morning. It is not built to lift the soil that settles in over months: gray grout lines, a mineral crust inside the urinals, streaks on the stall doors and dust on the vent grilles overhead.

A restroom deep clean is a separate visit on a set interval. It brings those surfaces back and keeps them there, so the room reflects the care the rest of your building gets.

Picture a three-story Sacramento office building with a men’s and women’s restroom on each floor. Tenants see a clean room every morning, yet the grout keeps getting darker and the urinal walls take on a yellow tint. A first deep clean resets all six rooms, and a monthly cycle afterward keeps the building from slipping back to where it started.

Everything a deep clean touches.

  • Tile floors and grout scrubbed by machine, then cleared with an auto-scrubber or an extraction pass
  • Toilets, urinals and sinks descaled, reaching the back of each bowl and the floor seam at every base
  • Drains in the floor scrubbed and rinsed through
  • Partitions, stall doors, wall tile and wainscot washed in full
  • Vent covers, light lenses and the ledges above eye level wiped down
  • Hand dryers, towel and soap dispensers, faucets and flush valves detailed
  • Every baseboard and corner given a hand scrub

Odor, removed at the source.

Most restroom odor is trapped in the floor. Grout near the urinals soaks up splash, drains hold a film that never dries, and the seam at a toilet base collects what a mop pushes into it. Scrubbing and flushing those spots ends the smell.

Disinfection comes last. With the surfaces cleaned first, EPA-registered disinfectants go on fixtures, handles, latches and dispenser buttons, each given its full dwell time (the label’s contact time) before wiping. Our disinfection and sanitizing service uses the same approach throughout the building.

Three intervals, set by traffic.

A shopping center restroom on a Saturday sees more visitors in an hour than a small Walnut Creek office suite sees in a week. That is why intervals are set room by room.

Lobby restrooms that the public passes through can run on the weekly list, tenant floors run monthly, and a quarterly restoration visit catches what the shorter cycles leave behind.

Weekly, for public and high-traffic restrooms:

  • Quick descaling of bowls, urinals and taps
  • Partition faces and stall doors cleaned
  • Each floor drain run with fresh water
  • The grime line along walls scrubbed away

Monthly, for a typical office, clinic or school:

  • The whole floor and its grout machine-scrubbed
  • Tile walls washed
  • Vent grilles and upper ledges dusted
  • Dryers and dispensers detailed

Quarterly, as a restoration visit:

  • Stubborn scale cleared from all fixtures
  • Grout restored with a slow, deep scrub
  • Partitions and walls cleaned completely
  • Light fixtures washed

Where a deep clean pays off.

Office towers, suburban campuses and large public and private offices all have restrooms that serve many tenants at once. Shopping centers and restaurants carry the public side. Schools and churches see crowds at set times, then quiet stretches that suit a deep clean.

Medical and dental offices, gyms, hotels and event venues, warehouse break areas and apartment clubhouse restrooms are other places where a scheduled deep clean earns its keep.

What changes afterward.

  • Restrooms that smell clean instead of perfumed
  • Fixtures and grout that keep their brightness between scheduled visits
  • Fewer complaints reaching your front desk or property manager
  • Rooms you are happy to open for an inspector, an open house or a tenant tour
  • Visitors who leave with a better picture of your business

Booked around your building.

Deep cleaning runs after hours or on weekends. Where a building has more than one restroom, crews close one while the next stays in use; a suite with a single restroom is scheduled for a window after the last person leaves. The visit is planned with your janitorial service, and where a day porter is on site, porter restroom rounds keep the results looking fresh through the business day.

Crews bring their own scrubbers, extraction equipment and products, and they leave the restrooms dry, stocked from your supplies or ours, and ready for the first person through the door in the morning.

What sets the price.

  • Restroom count and fixtures per room
  • Condition on day one, especially scale
  • Weekly, monthly or quarterly timing per room
  • Tile, stone, vinyl or painted wall surfaces
  • When the building can let crews in

A few useful answers

Common questions.

What separates a restroom deep clean from the restroom cleaning in our nightly janitorial service?

Nightly janitorial service keeps restrooms cleaned and restocked visit to visit. The deep clean machine-scrubs grout, descales fixtures, flushes drains and washes partitions and walls on a set interval.

Which restrooms should be on a weekly interval?

Restrooms open to the public, such as those in shopping centers, restaurants and busy lobbies, usually need weekly detail work. A typical tenant office floor holds up well on a monthly cycle.

How do you get rid of a smell that keeps coming back?

A smell that returns a day after mopping is coming from the grout, a drain or the floor around a urinal or toilet. Those are the spots a deep clean scrubs and flushes until nothing is left to smell.

What products are used to disinfect fixtures?

Fieldstone crews use EPA-registered disinfectants on cleaned surfaces and let each sit for the dwell time its label calls for.

Can a church or school book deep cleaning only during breaks?

Yes. A quarterly visit can be timed to a school break or a quiet week on the church calendar, with weekly detail work added through the busier seasons if you want it.
